Screen-printed electrodes used in biosensors are tiny, printed circuits that can detect biological signals. They provide a fast and cost-effective way to track changes in your pet’s health at the molecular level.

We use electrochemical processing techniques to detect the concentration of biomarkers in your pet’s saliva. This is similar technology to what we use in blood panels and glucose meters, but on saliva, meaning non-invasive.

Our app takes the biomarker data from your pet’s saliva and combines it with other key characteristics like age, weight, breed, and sex. Using machine learning, it then compares this information with similar animals and their health trends. This enables the app to generate personalized health insights and actionable steps, tailored specifically for your pet’s wellbeing.

Leveraging Machine Learning to Give You Personalised Insights

We use supervised learning models to create health insights from your pet’s biomarker levels, characteristics and trends. We also compare them to similar animals who share key characteristics.

This means that if someone’s dog got sick after showed a certain biomarker trend, we can warn you when we see early signs of that same biomarker trend. We can help you prevent or get help faster, avoiding unnecessary pain and excessive bills.

Non-Invasive Multi-Biomarker Model

Smart Strips are made of electrodes with a specific biomarker coating; each electrode can detect an independent biomarker. You use the strip as a swab to collect a little bit of saliva, insert it into the device, and let the science do the rest!

We track 9 biomarkers at once, from a single sample, giving you a holistic view into your pet’s health.
